Maniola Smart Sensing s.r.l. designs, manufactures and markets monitoring and control systems based on the use of wireless sensor networks (WSN - Wireless Sensor Networks). The company excellently combines the observation of complex phenomena related to environmental protection and respect for nature, with the knowledge and technological skills gained through years of experience in the precision agriculture sector, in environmental monitoring, smart city.

Maniola Smart Sensing was born as "Start Up Innovation Company" with the help of INVITALIA s.p.a. within the SMART & START project, currently, Small and Medium Innovative Enterprise. The company, based in Salerno, has been active since May 2014, after the approval of the programmed aid by INVITALIA, but research and product development started in 2005 thanks to research carried out by the founders in the following sectors:

Technology at Your Fingertips
Maniola Smart Sensing uses Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN - Wireless Sensor Networks) to detect physical phenomena or monitor environmental conditions. A WSN consists of a set of devices, sensor nodes, which can be distributed in more or less extended environments: open fields, closed and isolated places or in urban contexts.
The sensor nodes transmit the data detected by the radio to a gateway, which sends them to a remote acquisition system for archiving.
Using the Cloud Computing technologies, the data collected through the WSN are sorted and processed to allow further analysis and evaluations, in order to detect any anomalies in the reference values, with the possibility of automatically correcting the behavior of the controlled system.
Maniola Smart Sensing customers can view their system data via the Internet, access the dedicated area and obtain plant operating data. Moreover, through app free appropriately realized it is possible to make the reading of the data or the behavior of the analyzed system even easier.
